Rebirth in Oil Tycoon! is a late door, not an opening boost. A 19 September 2026 recording shows a locked door whose prompt reads "You need 1 rebirth to enter."
What is known
- At least one late door requires one rebirth.
- The door shows up after real factory and exploration progress, not in the first barrel loop.
- A full run can reach Ending 1 through Big Oil before the post-ending route continues. See endings.
Before you reset
- Finish the visible plot buttons the finale uses.
- Complete the Big Oil demolition once: fuel the bulldozer, cross the ice, plant the bombs, and use the detonator.
- Read the reward screen. Post-ending choices appeared in recordings, and the exact options can change.
- After the reset, read the same door again. The prompt states the condition. The newly opened path shows what this build unlocked.
What is not known
No developer note lists what rebirth keeps, resets, or multiplies. Do not plan on kept cash, kept buttons, or a fixed dropper-speed gift. Roblox badges stay on the account because they are account awards; that is separate from plot progress. Screenshot a layout you like before you reset, because the recordings do not show the layout surviving.
Other writeups claim the reset keeps secrets, both endings, and a permanent Miguel gift. Those claims are not in the official description and were not established as a retention list by the door prompt. Treat them as unconfirmed until your own result screen says so.
